Comprehensive test of nuclear level density models

چکیده

For the last two decades, experimental information on nuclear level densities for about 60 different nuclei has been obtained basis of Oslo method. While each these measurements typically compared to one or a few density models, global study including all missing. The present provides systematic comparison between data and six models 42 which $s$-wave resonance spacings are also available. We apply coherent normalization procedure being treated same footing. Our quantitative analysis shows that constant-temperature model presents best description data, closely followed by mean-field plus combinatorial Hartree-Fock statistical model. Their accuracies quite similar, so it remains difficult clearly favour models. When considering energies above threshold where scheme is complete, shown lead rather similar with respect data. recently proposed shape method can, in principle, improve situation since an absolute estimate excitation-energy dependence measured densities. show specific case $^{112}\mathrm{Cd}$ could exclude Such be performed bulk can applied before drawing conclusions general quality given

STUDY OF NUCLEAR LEVEL DENSITY AND SPIN CUT-OFF FACTORS

Nuclear level densities and spin cut-off factors have been deduced for nuclei in the mass region 24‹A‹63,from a microscopic theory, which includes nuclear pairing interaction. Single particle levels for both Seeger and Nilsson potentials were used in the calcdations. Level densities extracted from the theory are compared with their conesponding experimental values, It is found that the overall...

The Comparison of Two Models for Evaluation of Pre-internship Comprehensive Test: Classical and Latent Trait

Introduction: Despite the widespread use of pre-internship comprehensive test and its importance in medical students’ assessment, there is a paucity of the studies that can provide a systematic psychometric analysis of the items of this test. Thus, the present study sought to assess March 2011 pre-internship test using classical and latent trait models and compare their results. Methods: In th...

Calculation of nuclear level density parameter as a function of tmperature and mass number

Nuclear level density is one of the most important concepts in nuclear physics; basically, it is the key in dealing with nuclear statistical problems. This quantity plays an essential role in the statistical calculation of reactor physics, astrophysics, researches in the average energy of heavy- ion collision and calculations related to neutron evaporation and other applications. This quantity ...

Test of nuclear level density inputs for Hauser-Feshbach model calculations

The energy spectra of neutrons, protons, and α-particles have been measured from the d+59Co and 3He+58Fe reactions leading to the same compound nucleus, 61Ni. The experimental cross sections have been compared to Hauser-Feshbach model calculations using different input level density models. None of them have been found to agree with experiment. It manifests the serious problem with available le...
